I was given the opportunity by the art director of Esperanto Magazine to write my own comic for the 2020 Earth Issue, rather than illustrating based on another author's writing. The prompt was to explore a memory of travelling, since those of us in Melbourne were in our second lockdown at the time.
I recounted my experience in-between lockdowns, when my friends and I explored a faraway beach, escaping the stresses of the pandemic for just a little while.
